Love last years so much I bought a two pair for my new to me ski boots. I try to convince people to purchase them on almost every chair ride!
I was pretty skeptical that the Bootcap would actually make a difference, but it is amazing. I'm a ski instructor, on snow over 100 days a year, and my toes never get to the point of being painful anymore, which used to be an almost everyday experience. Even in temps well below zero, my feet may get a bit cool, but not painfully cold. I've converted a substantial portion of the Snowmass ski school instructors to Bootcaps! No more need for electric socks or boot heaters -- what a win!
I do ski 50+ days a year and for the past couple seasons I have used bootcaps on my new ski boots. I was not sure if the bootcaps were really working since my toes and feet had not felt cold or wet over that time, but I skied in Europe this past March in a pair of boots that I leave in France… and my toes were freezing! Bootcaps really work!!! And they make me look cool!
Best new ski product introduction in a long while. While 20% may not sound like a lot in terms of keeping your feet warm, it’s actually a meaningful difference. I skied over 80 days in the Rockies this winter with the caps, including a good handful of sub.zero mornings, and these things work as advertised.
I have Raynaud's , so even electronic boot heaters aren’t enough. With boot cap I can stay out all day and keep my heaters on low. Game changer!
Side note: they don’t look nearly as nerdy as I thought.
Looking forward to the deep freeze next season to give these a go. I usually wear boot gloves on those days but looking forward to ditching those extra steps. Love that I can access my buckles with the bootcap
I was so tired of my toes freezing while I was skiing. I even have the heated foot bed with the battery pack on the side of the boot. But it wasn’t enough. I saw the Bootcap ad and was immediately skeptical. How could this thin piece of foam keep my toes warm? But I figured it was worth the gamble. And it paid off big. The first day I used them it was 9 degrees F! Toes stayed warm all day.
LOVE these, not only do they look cool but they keep my toes super warm. I typically get cold no matter what the weather is after a few runs and hate using foot warmers. I was just in Whistler heliskiing and went all day in 2ft powder and did not think about my toes once. Thanks for making this product!
Bootcaps work!! I skied with some type of boot heater for over 10 years. After a few days of testing Bootcaps, I just left the boot heaters and batteries home! Toes stayed warm all day. Installation was easy and customer support was avail for questions . Great product !!
I have cold feet. And had to ski with Hot tropics all the time. These took away the need. I do not need my heaters unless it is bitter cold!!! BUY THESE BOOT CAPS. FOR GET ABOUT BOOT GLOVES HEATERS. SO BUY THEM AND BE HAPPY.
I have very cold feet. The boot cap works better than the boot glove in keeping my feet warm
I think they help. My warmer battaries seem to last longer, too. Sort of hard to install. But, even crooked they seem effective. Much better than the neoprene ones.
I wear electric socks but when the boots get cold enough the socks can't keep up. I was totally surprised with the toe caps that my toes were better than warm on a cold snowy day. Thx, great product.
Installation was easy and straightforward. Weather has been mild, so have not tested the thermal performance yet.
First test, -1 degrees and windy. 2 hr tour. Toes definitely got cold but not til the last 20min. Suspect they would have been painfully frozen without the caps. I am optimistic they will make a real difference. Happy to report back with more data.
Bootcaps are legit. As someone with perpetually cold feet, I’ve tried everything to keep my toes warm, battery heaters, different socks, antiperspirants, new boots, etc. After installing Bootcaps and trying them for a few extremely cold days, the difference was immediately noticeable on how much warmer my feet were. No more lodge breaks for a quick warm up. These have changed the game for me. They're also very durable, don’t get in the way of anything and look like part of the boot, especially with the new color options. Well done!
I purchased these a while ago and just used them skiing in Japan for a month.
I began experiencing cold toes while skiing about 10 years ago, I purchased Hotronic boot toe heaters then and they work great, as long as you remember to charge the batteries or don't leave them connected to the charger at home, in your bag in the car or they don't run out of juice.
This product solved my cold toes problem completely! I forgot them in the car at Kiroro on a cold day and didn't feel the cold until noon, much better than the hour it took for cold to seep in before I installed the Bootcaps.
I also noticed I can turn down the heat setting on the batteries to 2 and they will last all day instead of failing just after lunch.
Great product, read the instructions and follow them during installation it's pretty straightforward.
I recommend a bead of silicone along the front bottom edge to keep snow from packing itself in there.
Will purchase again.

Cold toes in ski boots has always been a problem for me. First day out with them was a 14°F day and my toes never got cold. In fact my toes were the warmest part of my boot! The soles of my boots got cold, but not my toes!
